Our knowledge of the specialist sectors in which we operate allows us to be specific and pro-active in targeting clients that match our candidates’ needs. Every contact made to any business, whether a new or existing client, is with the intention of adding value to their recruitment process.

Before commencement of a search for candidates, it is essential that we take a full and detailed job description. Rather than relying on a check list of skills, we also seek to understand where this person will fit within the business. Often neglected is the need to align any potential employees’ motivations and aspirations with those of the business they are about to join. This ensures a candidate will remain with the company and develop a long term career providing our clients with a true return on investment.

Once we feel we understand your need, we will decide on the best method of attracting the best candidates. We rarely rely on a single source of candidates, preferring instead to use a number of different techniques. This ensures you will be able to choose the best people from the widest possible pool of candidates. This includes proactively sourcing new people through networking, headhunting and advertising on a wide range of specialist job websites. This is accompanied by a thorough search of our internal database, which is recognised in the industry as being one of the most effective software solutions of its kind.

After drawing up an initial short list of potential candidates, we conduct a thorough interview with each applicant to determine their suitability. This is far from a form filling exercise. We use the interview to elicit information from the candidate that will enable us to assess their motivations, aspirations and commitment to the job search. We also use psychometric profiling techniques that will assist us in finding the best possible candidates in the marketplace for your specific requirement.

Once we reach the stage of you meeting your selected candidates face to face, our role becomes that of a communication link between you the client, and the interviewees. We take detailed feedback from every candidate you meet which will be presented to you to aid your final decision. Once you wish to make an offer to a candidate, we will keep in close contact with all parties, as this is clearly the most crucial part of the process. We will ensure that the expectations of the candidate have not changed, and remain realistic in relation to the specification of the job. This will mean the offer is accepted without any issues or surprises. On acceptance, we will keep in touch with the candidate at what can be a very stressful time, providing advice on the resignation, and support throughout the notice period.

On completion of any assignment we actively seek out feedback from our clients. A senior member of the RMI team will make contact to discuss your thoughts on how we performed. We hope by encouraging honest feedback we can learn and continuously improve our service to you. A high proportion of our business comes from existing clients. We feel this is testament to the quality of the work that we do.
